About

ANNE FITISEMANU
Fakalofa lahi atu and Talofa lava,

I have a work history that spans across three key sectors, notably health. I have worked extensively within New Zealand's largest district health boards, and I am currently serving at Counties Manukau Health (CMDHB). The region is home to the largest Maori (Maaori) and Pacific population in New Zealand. Therefore I feel this is an important factor in my work.

I focus on growing and developing the Pacific workforce as well as establishing cultural competency training programmes. I feel that I embody the ideal Pacific women of the 21st century - I value education, my culture and work ethic. My vision is to see these ideals reflected in the next generation of Pacific women.

I am happily married to Equator, a mother to seven children, and a grandmother to two grandchildren.
